I’d like to recognize two individuals who were the absolute most resourceful, responsive & accommodating voices throughout the destination wedding planning process: Ricardo De Pavia, my DJ &
Benjamin Solis, my videographer. The two offer services independent of one another but work together frequently & as a true team.
Ricardo & Benji speak English & Spanish which is a blessing to a Floridian whose Spanish-speaking & writing is less than perfect.
They are extremely responsive via email, so rest assured that when you sent a note out to them, it will not vanish into cyberspace!
They do not “sit & wait” until you contact them to hash out important details about your big day. As true masters of their professions, they request whatever information they need from you well
in advance to ensure that music, set-up & other elements of the big day are executed seamlessly.
They even voluntarily took a trip from Cancun to Isla Mujeres two days before my wedding to scope out the venue. For those of you just now getting started in the planning process, believe me when I
say that this level of dedicated service is not the standard!
Just as importantly as their top notch service, I also want to mention that Ricardo & Benji are simply two genuinely kind & caring individuals, an absolutely must among the chaos that goes

My Cancun hero!! Where do I begin to tell you and everyone else what a great DJ you are. My daughter's wedding was a great party thanks to you and your great music. You had us all dancing all night,

My wife and I had our wedding at Fairmont Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico on July 24th, 2010. Ricardo and his MC were amazing and I really feel they made our night fantastic! Myself and guests felt
like they were in a dance club instead of a ballroom. The communication between Ricardo and I were on point. I made him a playlist and he played every single song on it including some others that

I don' t even know where to start... First I kept constant communication with Ricardo in reference to the place of the wedding since I had no idea where he was going to set up and if we were able to
dance the entire night. As a Latina that was my main concern Dancing!!! He assured me that it was best not to rent a dance floor and to save my money. Well he was right!!! His prompt communication is
amazing as well.
Second I was worried about the music and did not have a clue of what to send him as a list... so I sent him a list of artists and what type of people my wedding will have meaning that they like to
party and dance until their feets hurt! Well between him DJ'ing with the music and my cousin on the microphone being an MC it seem they were nsync!!!! I had a blast and it was everything I wanted!!!!
Ricardo and his team are the BEST!!! Don't get an IPOD for your wedding I was thinking about it. Just get Ricardo you will not regret it.

Everyone at our wedding even complimented the music and Ricardo's skills and personality. He really knew the right
times for the right songs. One piece of advice is for all the couples out there thinking they can just bring an iPod for music...no way! If you load music, you will just have one continuous playlist
with no attention or regard to your guests moods. Having Ricardo really lifted that pressure! All 80 people at our wedding were dancing! That's a huge accomplishment, thanks to Ricardo!

We cannot say enough positive things about Discomovil/Ricardo--Ricardo was PERFECT! We were referred to Ricardo by another couple who had recently hired Ricardo for their reception and we decided to
hire Ricardo for our wedding reception on May 22, 2010.
Ricardo played all of the "must have" songs we requested and even a few last minute (day before our reception) songs we thought he wouldn't be able to find! Our group was very diverse and Ricardo
kept the party rolling with songs for everyone! We had an emergency resulting from on oversight and he was kind enough to let us borrow his wireless mic. There isn't a song Ricardo can't find or a
group he cannot entertain.
Yes, it was a little scary hiring someone who we had not met but the experience was unbelievable. All of my emails were answered within a few hours and the payment process was seamless.

Ricardo was excellent!! Couldn’t wish for a better DJ.
He found all the songs that we requested, even the ones that were though to find and he blended them in amazingly.
He totally read the crowd and was able to get everyone on the dance floor; he picked up on people’s moods. Everyone had a great time and danced until the end.
He is also very professional with emails and responding to requests. Highly recommend

I couldn't have been happier! Ricardo was so easy to work with, he scouted my venue before the event, he was on time and very professional. Before doing my destination wedding in Tulum I was nervous
that the music wasn't going to be " American mainstream" enough. But Ricardo used all my suggested songs and felt out the vibe! What a great DJ. He took requests, he read the crowd, he paced

Nosotros como anfitriones encantados, el servicio y la atención que nos dio Ricardo de primer nivel.
Nuestros invitados no pararon de bailar NUNCA, no había una sola canción que la gente no bailara.
Los niños, los tíos, las abuelitas, las amigas, los primos, los borrachines. Todos bailaron todo el tiempo.
La producción de las luces se veía increíble. Tanto que atraía la atención de los huéspedes del hotel que se quedaba a ver a toda la gente que estaba bailando en la playa.
Gracias Ricardo la pasamos increíble y creemos que pasara mucho tiempo y nuestros invitados seguirán acordándose de cómo nuestra boda se convirtió en una graaaan fiesta en la playa.

I used Ricardo for my July 15, 2009 Wedding an all I can say is awesome. I had emailed 3 DJ's from the very start but felt compelled to use Ricardo due to his quick response time, and music
selection. I'm 110% satisfied with the outcome. It is hard to book a vendor sight unseen but everything was wonderful. Prior to the wedding I have him about 6 songs I wanted to hear and he was able
to put together the evenings music. All I can say is he was wonderful. I would completely recommend him to any of my friends for a DJ.

Ricardo (Discomovil) absolutely made our wedding a TRUE celebration. He was amazing from beginning to end to work with. We were planning the wedding from LA for a ceremony/reception in Playa Del
Carmen, Mexico and Ricardo did all he could to make sure we had everything we wanted from music to hanging lanterns on the beach! He played all the right music and we were told by our guests that we
had the best music they had ever heard at a wedding (none of all the cheesy soft rock/electric slide) Ricardo stuck to the music we had requested him to play, and the dance floor was never empty.

Ricardo did a WONDERFUL job DJing for our wedding at the Blue Parrot. There were a lot of logistics because we had the dinner reception downstairs and the after dinner dancing upstairs, but he was

Ricardo was the perfect DJ for our wedding. The music was so great that no one left the dance floor the entire night! We appreciated how you were able to quickly play our requests and come up with the perfect playlist for us. We would highly recommend Ricardo!

I couldn't have been happier! Ricardo was so easy to work with, he scouted my venue before the event, he was on time and very professional. Before doing my destination wedding in Tulum I was nervous that the music wasn't going to be " American mainstream" enough. But Ricardo used all my suggested songs and felt out the vibe! What a great DJ. He took requests, he read the crowd, he paced everything perfectly and he was great making announcements. Bravo! Job well done I'm so pleased with the music at my wedding.

Thanks SO much for making our wedding fun and memorable! You had all the songs we requested, and played songs we didn't even think of but loved. It was great working with you, you were flexible and creative in choosing theme songs for different activities. And you were a great MC for the evening too!

We decided on a destination wedding on Isla Mujeres & chose Ricardo for our DJ. His services were excellent all the way through from planning to the actual reception, and he was very professional. I provided him with a list of songs we wanted played and he was able to play them all. The volume was perfect, for dinner it was nice and soft allowing for conversation, then when we were ready to hit the floor for dancing, he turned up the volume.

Ricardo was a great DJ! I used him for my wedding and my rehearsal dinner and everyone had an amazing time. He knows what music to play to keep the crowd going all night long. I am still hearing from all of my friends that this was the best wedding they have ever been too. Music is an essential part of the wedding and he made everyone at the party 100 people dance all night long. We had a diverse group of guest including people from Europe, south America, and the United States. Everyone had an amazing time. I recommend Ricardo to anyone who wants a trustworthy,responsible, capable, excellet dj that will make a wedding memorable.

Nosotros como anfitriones encantados, el servicio y la atención que nos dio Ricardo de primer nivel.
Nuestros invitados no pararon de bailar NUNCA, no había una sola canción que la gente no bailara.
Los niños, los tíos, las abuelitas, las amigas, los primos, los borrachines. Todos bailaron todo el tiempo.
La producción de las luces se veía increíble. Tanto que atraía la atención de los huéspedes del hotel que se quedaba a ver a toda la gente que estaba bailando en la playa.
Gracias Ricardo la pasamos increíble y creemos que pasara mucho tiempo y nuestros invitados seguirán acordándose de cómo nuestra boda se convirtió en una graaaan fiesta en la playa.

I used Ricardo for my July 15, 2009 Wedding an all I can say is awesome. I had emailed 3 DJ's from the very start but felt compelled to use Ricardo due to his quick response time, and music selection. I'm 110% satisfied with the outcome. It is hard to book a vendor sight unseen but everything was wonderful. Prior to the wedding I have him about 6 songs I wanted to hear and he was able to put together the evenings music. All I can say is he was wonderful. I would completely recommend him to any of my friends for a DJ.

Ricardo (Discomovil) absolutely made our wedding a TRUE celebration. He was amazing from beginning to end to work with. We were planning the wedding from LA for a ceremony/reception in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and Ricardo did all he could to make sure we had everything we wanted from music to hanging lanterns on the beach! He played all the right music and we were told by our guests that we had the best music they had ever heard at a wedding (none of all the cheesy soft rock/electric slide) Ricardo stuck to the music we had requested him to play, and the dance floor was never empty. Thank you so much, Ricardo, for giving us a night to remember. We would gladly recommend you to anyone looking to throw a great celebration!

Ricardo DJ 'd at my sister's and my wedding Feb.09. He was amazing!!! The guest loved the music he kept the crowd going all night long and played requests! Besides the great music he is a sweet guy and very easy to work with. Gracias Ricardo

Ricardo was excellant at our recent wedding.
Not living in continental America it was important that we kept in touch on the lead up to the event, which Ricardo did.
All requests were accomodated and all emails replied to within 24 hours.
On the day of the event everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend Ricardo for anyone requiring a DJ for a special event or occasion.
My personal thanks to helping our wedding day to be a very special and joyous occasion.

Ricardo did a WONDERFUL job DJing for our wedding at the Blue Parrot. There were a lot of logistics because we had the dinner reception downstairs and the after dinner dancing upstairs, but he was able to coordinate everything flawlessly! He also had every song we requested in our song list. We highly recommend Ricardo for your wedding or event!
